SIPS AND TRIPS
There is nothing more healing than a morning drive with your people, worship music, and Starbucks. I don't know if it's just me, but God's presence seems to be magnified when the seasons change. As you watch leaves change colors, snow fall, or flowers bloom, it's hard to not think of the One who created it all. But intentionally worshiping God as you watch His creation, fills you with an unspeakable joy.
This past fall, my mom and older sister (I have two older sisters — this is my middle sister) decided we wanted Starbucks for breakfast. On the way home we decided we wanted to keep driving and just look at the beautiful fall landscape. I honestly can't remember who had the idea of playing worship music, but we all agreed. It was church — seriously! Any worries or struggles we were having were completely washed away. These past few weeks have been rough, in all senses, so we knew it was time for a drive/worship/Starbucks session. Immediately a peace came over me. Seasons change, but God remains the same. Things go wrong, life turns upside down, relationships weaken, but God's love never wavers.
With this past Sunday being Easter, I knew this was the perfect time to share this. If you're not feeling God's presence in your life, please try this because He will let you know He's always there. This is healing — I knew I had to share this. Gather your people, queue up some worship music, and order your favorite bev. But I can't leave you with just that, so keep reading for my favorite dairy free/low sugar Starbucks bevs (I did the research so you don't have to) + some of my favorite worship songs for inspo (and a link to my spotify playlist)!
DAIRY FREE & LOW SUGAR STARBUCKS BEVS
drink | sugars (mine) | sugars (orig.) |
grande iced blonde vanilla latte almond milk, 1 pump vanilla syrup | 8 g | 28 g |
grande iced caffe latte almond milk | 3 g | 11 g |
grande cold brew with coconut milk | 1.75 g | 3 g |
NOTES
- How I calculate grams of sugar for the milk: I use almond milk (3 g/8 oz) or coconut milk (7 g/8 oz) — I used to use soy milk, but realized it has more sugar than i thought (12 g/8 oz). Grande lattes have 8 ounces of milk (iced might be less because the ice takes up most of the cup) and a cold brew has a spalsh of milk which is about 2 ounces.
- How I calculate grams of sugar for syrups: All Starbucks syrups (that are dairy free) have 5 grams of sugar per pump.
- The orig. recipe for Starbucks is 2% milk (11 g/8 oz) and, if there is a syrup/flavor, 4 pumps for a grande latte.
- These are my faves right now; they change based on the season (let me know if you want a comprehensive list of ALL of my faves because i would totally do that).

K THANKS BYE,
I am totally not obsessed with Starbucks. But seriously if you try this out, or try out one of my Starbucks recommendations, or just listen to a song recommendation, I would love to know. This is an amazing thing that I couldn't keep to myself (not that it's that difficult to think of). Thank you so much for reading! (Spotify playlist: "my savior")
