WHAT'S IN MY SHOPPING CART
Here are some of my plausible "investments" I have in my cart for later and why. To preface, Lauren Elizabeth (my spirit animal) did this on her blog and I loved it, so I'm going to do it. I have a monthly budget and try not to "treat myself" unless it's a necessary item. I'm frugal, but a girl can dream.
I am so ready for summer! My skin will be glowing, but my wardrobe is lacking. So, obviously, my cart at Pacsun is full. I can't have a hot girl summer without the means to achieve it. First step, hot girl summer clothes!
PACSUN basic 3-pack regular t-shirt I am always looking for oversized neutral tees, and this 3-pack literally made my dreams come true!
PACSUN asymmetrical cropped top I am a sucker for asymmetry, especially when it comes to fashion. This neckline just elevates the whole look, making it go from a casual cami to a chic top.
LA HEARTS aspen colorado socks I am always looking for athletic socks without the "Nike mark-up" and these are affordable and so chic.
I am going through a major purging moment with my skin. But it's a good thing because it let's me know that the products I'm using are doing their job. Towards the end of March, I started using salicylic acid and retinol together. I thought they were too harsh to use in the same routine, but they actually work really well together! Retinol exfoliates the surface of your skin, while strengthening the deeper layers to reveal young, supple skin. Salicylic acid cuts through the dirt and oil, exfoliating your pores. This process is made easier when retinol exfoliates the dead skin off the surface, allowing salicylic acid to absorb quicker. So they are an absolute dream team, but can still be somewhat harsh when used too often (my routine is retinol every night and salicylic acid with retinol on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday). Science, science, science...blah, blah, blah. Basically this is bringing all of the gunk to the surface and I look busted. Which inspired me to do some "window shopping" for spot treatments and brightening products.
THE INKEY LIST succinic acid acne treatment Spot treatment to the rescue. This product is powered with succinic acid and salicylic acid to stop pimps in their track (sign me up)!
KATE SOMERVILLE exfolikate cleanser An absolute cult classic! I've heard so many amazing thing about this cleanser. It is powered with fruit enzymes and exfoliating acids (AHA's) to gently exfoliate to rid of any texture and even skin tone.
TULA SKINCARE the instant facial I've used these before and saying I would die for these, is an understatement. Any dead skin or dry patches on your face run away when they see this product. So worth it!
K THANKS BYE,
I most likely will end up buying all of these before I even post this. It's in the budget — we're fine! I really thought this was a cute idea. I always have stuff in my cart. Whether I need to replenish or want to something new it's in my cart. Thank you for reading this and definitely start following Lauren Elizabeth! I am obsessed with her content...blog, youtube, podcast, instagram, you name it!
